Crown Royal apple whisky the nose is an immediate blast of apple. Although the apple note isn’t horribly artificial, it’s reads more like a candy apple than a fresh one, and it’s got a fairly sour core. Overall the apple aroma is way too much – as strong and pungent as the maple was for Crown Royal Maple Finished, but far less pleasant. The apple on the nose is so strong that it’s extremely difficult to get beyond it to the aromas of the base whiskey. The base whiskey is there, with a hint of cinnamon and oak, but you have to dig like hell through the overbearing apple to get to it. Crown Royal Canadian Whisky is crafted from some of the purest water sourced from Lake Winnipeg, filtered naturally through limestone beneath and mash bill of rye, corn, and barley. Over 80% of grain was used in production comes from Manitoba and surrounding areas. Crown Royal is distilled from twelve distillation columns and are expertly aged. Crown Royal Apple Canadian Whisky uses hand-selected Crown Royal whiskies by their master whisky blenders and infused with Regal Gala Apples and apple flavors. Canadian whisky has bright apple and spice aromas with a fruity and crisp flavor. The finish is extraordinarily smooth and has a fruity sweet flavor. The flavor tastes like an Apple Jolly Rancher with a smokey flavor.
